Membership FAQ

What is the Horse Racing Women’s Summit?

Founded in 2022, the Horse Racing Women’s Summit (HRWS) has grown into a movement gathering national attention. The inaugural multi-day summit at Santa Anita Park and subsequent events brought together people from all facets of the horse racing industry. We believe that engaging, elevating and investing in women will transform horse racing and we look forward to continuing our mission to inspire Summit members to be trailblazers.

What is the HRWS membership?

Membership offers the community an opportunity to support the HRWS mission on an annual basis. Our accessible membership will support meaningful connections and support programs, research, and the Pay it Forward scholarship program to advance the HRWS pillars of engaging, elevating and investing women in horse racing.

What do my HRWS membership dues support?

Your membership dues will go towards supporting the HRWS Pay it Forward scholarship program, research, events and more. The Pay it Forward scholarship program supported the attendance of 15 women at the Horse Racing Women’s Summit at Santa Anita in 2023 and scholarships are available for all 2024 events. The HRWS executive committee is currently in communications with an established and respected entity in the industry to undertake a research project in 2024. These efforts are designed to be in support of and aligned with the HRWS mission.

Who are the members?

Our current membership of over 100 women represent all facets of the industry. From owners to fans, regulators, marketing and accounting professionals, breeders, trainers, aftercare specialists, nonprofit managers, racetrack executives and more. Several organizations have purchased memberships for all of their female employees as a show of support for them and the HRWS mission. All who support horse racing are welcome to join.
